The service was excellent and the food was bomb! I wanted something light today, so opted for a sandwich; however, I ended up with way more (that's my greedy spirit). Anyhow, I'm glad I added the Tater tots and wings because both were top tier. The wings were literally the best I've had, and I'm a lemon pepper girly. Never thought I'd make a confession to the contrary.

Food was absolutely amazing. Simply put the best overall experience ive ever had at a sub shop!! Cheesesteak was phenomenal and the wings are top noch! The prices are insane! They could raise them and he chooses not too. The owner, Andy was amazing! He will never franchise which speaks volumes! In100% recommend this place! Ive read many reviews that always find something to bitch about. This place has none

I'm on a mission to find the best cheeseteak in Duval and man oh man was this one close. The meat quality may have been the best I've had in a cheeseteak in Jacksonville, and in fact, the entire interior of the cheeseteak (steak, cheese, peppers, onions) was just about perfect. The bread was heavily buttered and grilled which added a flavor that while delicious, took away from the overall "cheesesteak" of it all in my opinion. It gave it more of a "pit BBQ Sandwich" flavor that I believe is intentional and a truly delicious addition that many people may even see as a plus. The owner is incredibly friendly and this is a sandwich shop that is doing everything right. The wings are also incredible and they have a unique and fun take on tater tots as well. Go here, go here, go here!

Super smoky inside but otherwise amazing food. Quick service and friendly workers. It's my first visit but it won't be my last.

How cool is this place and the guys behind the counter. The sandwiches are as if you were making them yourself with all the ingredients that you would put on it. Bread was fresh and the meat had the flavor in every bite. Good deli table and counter set up. Will be back for the Italian.

Wew.. it's been a busy week! As I settle in with my bogo brew from Publix I remembered I had not reviewed Clarke Brothers. It was Tuesday and after a long work day drinking be to see Andy at Clarke Brothers. It was past lunch so the restaurant was fairly quiet. Andy was busy cooking his deliciousness and my order was taken by a nice young man. I choose "Clarke's Club" as they had me at bacon jam. A side of onion rings because I was starving. I made it through half the sandwich which was filled with ham, turkey, bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and bacon jam. My taste buds danced and those onion rings with garlic aioli was delicious. The rest was packed for a late night dinner. If you have never been there Clarke's run don't walk. It's that good. Andy and his staff are wonderful and the restaurant so quaint! Thanks Andy for saving me some deliciousness. See you all again soon!

These sandwiches are not neat! No, they are messy. . They are cheesy gooey goodness, and you will need a lot of napkins. The day I went the place was packed out. It smelt great and service was good. I ordered a Duval cheese steak and a Corn beef sandwich. Both were scrumptious. Their shirts say. Meaty AF! I agree, I could only eat half they were so filling. That has to be the best Corn Beef sandwich I have had in Florida for awhile. They have 15 ish sandwiches to choose from this day and now I will need to try them all..oy..

Wow! Stopped by Clarke's accidentally. We walked in thinking it was the previous Asian food place. We decided to stay and give it a try. And we were impressed. I ordered the "full" size Duuval Cheesteaks thinking that it would be a "normal" size sub (instead of the "half" size). It actually ended up being two whole sub rolls about 8 inches each. I ended up taking one of them home for lunch the next day. My friend order the "moink" sandwich and siad it was great. * Duuuval Cheesesteak - bread was grilled and so soft. Full of shredded ribeye steak, onions and light on peppers (as requested) and topped with my choice of cheese (Cheese Whiz). * Moink - brisket (cooked perfectly) and ham that probably might bea meal for two for some people. * Homemade tots - these large tots were great and filled with bacon and cheese. Served with our choice of sauce - garlic aoili - nice and thick Clarke's is on my list to visit again and either get the cheesesteak again or maybe venture out for something different.

Parking is challenging unless you are already parked near the hospital. You order at the counter and they delivered to our table. There are a couple tables/counter space and booths. The sandwiches were good for a reasonable price. I would only be in this area if visiting St Vincent hospital. If in the area, you won't be disappointed.
